Stamm 30 is a premium balancer providing a highly concentrated source of essential proteins, patented vitamins, minerals, yeasts and BMC™ (Buffered Mineral Complex). It is used as an ingredient in Saracen’s specialist Thoroughbred breeding & racing feeds, where it provides nutrient continuity within these ranges. It is designed to supplement all classes of horses when additional calories (energy) are not called for.
As a stud balancer, it is designed to be fed alone to maintain barren mares, and it is recommended for broodmares out at grass, post-weaning, from the middle of their second trimester (week 20 of their pregnancy onwards) through to their last trimester of pregnancy to take care of the key nutrients they require at this stage. It is also suitable for fast growing foals to control weight gain and growth rates, and to support yearlings out at grass that are in good body condition and don’t need to be carrying extra weight as they grow and develop.
Stamm 30® is manufactured in an ‘easy-to-use’ pellet for increased digestibility and uniform dispersion when mixed with other feeds. It is incorporated as an ingredient for nutrient continuity within the stud range, and can be used to ‘top-dress’ Level-Grow™, Stud Prep 14, Mare-Care, Re-Leve and the Stallion Plan when feeding intakes are low (less than 3.6 kg /8 lbs per day).
Stamm 30® can easily be used in conjunction with any type of feeding programme, or management situation:
It can be fed alone to mature horses being maintained on all-forage diets, and to young growing horses that are experiencing developmental orthopaedic disease (physitis, contracted tendons, osteochondrosis) as a low-calorie source of essential protein, vitamins and minerals
It can be fed with oats, or other unfortified grain, to provide the correct balance of nutrients
It can be added to mixes or pelleted rations when extra nutritional fortification is required
